About the Brummie Sailing & Diving Club: This club has been set up in order to offer an opportunity to local people in the Midlands area and across the UK in order to be able to meet like minded sailors and divers for regular meetings locally, but mainly to organise groups together for sailing and diving holidays abroad.
First Trip: First such trip was organised in Croatia in 2008. 8 of us hired a luxury SUN ODYSSEY 54DS and sailed from Split to Zadar exploring fabulous Kornati Archipelago. In the future we would like to get groups of at least 4-6 people, preferably 6-8 or even 10, 20, 30 or 100 if possible and sail in other destinations all over the Med and the Caribbean. CUBA, GRENADINES, TURKEY, CROATIA, ST MARTIN, ANTIGUA and even THAILAND are only some of the locations we would like to go next.
How to Join: In order to join the club simply e-mail us your sailing or diving resume, a face photo (or few more photos :-)) or nothing more then your email, home address, date of birth, contact telephone numbers and where and when would you like to go next. There are many opportunities sometimes as cheap as £100 p/w or for the qualified and experienced even for free.
What else do we have planned:
Everything and nothing. It all depends on the enthusiasm and input of individuals or group members. We can set out to meet up once a year to chat, or go sailing or diving in individual groups every weekend. We can also create a travel documentary in co-ordination with BBC or stay at home and watch sailing channel together. It's up to you how far and where we go !!
Let's sail and dive together now !!
